We had replaced windows directly for the developer in multiple buildings at this landmark facility located in Providence, RI.
The Challenge: We were required to match the profiles of every window being replaced replicating the profiles of the original windows. The most challenging part of the project was to select a base window that had small enough meeting rail sightlines, while still providing enough strength to meet the wind loads on the corners of the building, “salient corner conditions”.
We then had to design customized exterior trim panning replicating the existing brick moldings sand exterior profile shapes. One of the buildings on the campus required us to work in occupied Class A office space, removing and replacing the windows, during normal business hours.
